NEWS CENTRE - The Democratic Autonomous Administration, in a statement regarding the attacks on North and East Syria, called on the Kurdish people and their allies to strengthen resistance and reinforce national unity.

 

In its statement against the attacks, the Democratic Autonomous Administration stated that the resistance in Kobanê, which has become a symbol, was being targeted. The statement said, ‘Kobanê, known as the symbol of the great resistance against the DAISH terrorist organisation, is once again under attack today. These attacks aim to destroy our people's gains. Water, electricity and internet have been cut off in Kobanê. The city is currently cut off from the world.’

 

Systematic genocide

 

The statement highlighted that the attacks on Kobanê and Cizîre cantons are systematic and aimed at genocide, stating, ‘These attacks are an attempt to break the will of our people. However, the whole world is witnessing these crimes, and there is still no solution in sight.’

 

Call to strengthen the resistance

 

The administration called on the Kurdish people and their friends to further strengthen the resistance and consolidate national unity, stating, "Our people will continue their resistance for freedom, honour and the right to life. Today is a day of national unity. The Kurdish people, united across four parts, continue their resistance against genocide. This resistance will make history, and our people's struggle will end in victory."
